Hello Sandy!
I just wanted to give you a little update on my pony.  He is doing fabulous!  I love him more after each ride.  I call him mulligan now.  I tried to find a name that went along with mulberry and mulligan was the only name he would come to.  I tried out lots of names because mulligan wasn't my favorite but he would always come to me when I called him that.  He settled in with his herd just fine got a little beat up but seems to have found his place.  He put on some weight and looks great.  He lost a bit from the trip and the heat and looked so scrawny but not anymore.  He gets a little grain each day and he is really into his breakfast! I haven't done a lot with him but what I have done he responds great to it.  We had some issues with cows at first but got over that after about a week.  He was so funny about it.  We had to go through a pen of about 15 calves to get to the barn and past a single cow to get to the arena.  The single cow just did him in.  He stood shaking and staring at her and finally just marched up to the fenced and stared and snorted for a long while and now could care less.  He has been on walks around the farm and through the cemetary and hopefully Wednesday we will trailer to a park for a group trail ride.  He has always been alone so I think he will enjoy the group outing.  I have had my trainer ride him and I have had 2 lessons and he did very well.  He is getting to understand going on the bit and really starting to relax.  He is starting to bend more with each ride especially in left lead canter.  We are doing some lunge work to get used to going in side reins so he learns about contact and connection better.  He is catching on well with that-going to the right has been harder for him.  I never lunge him before I ride we just do it as an alternate learning tool.  My trainer still can't believe how quiet he is and neither can I.  I feel so comfortable on him.  I just can't wait to do stuff with him.  I have been scouting out schooling shows for next year or later this year.  I don't plan on pushing him since I want him happy and sound for many years.  He will just be learning dressage for a bit and then we can have fun with jumping.  I just want to thank you for being so honest about him.  He was exactly what I wanted and I am sure he will be the fanciest horse I have ever owned.  My trainer doesn't have anyone looking for a horse at the moment or room for a resale project.  He likes mulligan though and definitely will see who you have available when the barn empties out a bit!  I hope things are going well for you and you continue to find homes for everyone.  When I hear fo someone shopping I will definitely tell them to check you out because you have a great eye and sense of the horse!  Take care!

Hi Sandy

Just wanted to send you an update on Todays Top Cat aka 'T'!   We went to our first competition yesterday and she was a shining star!  We took two first places and one second place and won Champion for the division!

She really is a wonderful horse.  She has settled in nicely at the farm (has a boyfriend named Cosmo lol) and loves to jump!  She is spoiled rotten, I have discovered she will eat anything and i mean anything LOL  She took a bite out of my cheeseburger yesterday when I sat it down on the rear fender of the trailer to get her water LOL  She also will eat pizza (discovered this as she took a bite out of that as well.... if theres food around, she is there! lmao  She is such a sweetheart and not afraid to try anything.  Took her for her first trail ride last week and she just has such a good head on her shoulders.  I couldnt be more pleased with her! I just adore her!

Hope all is well.....
~Christine

She has been " frolicking " as one friend says . In the mornings she plays in the pasture . I think she is really happy. When she finshes shedding I will get a picture of her and send it to you.

Come down to Texas when evr you all want . There is always room here with me.
